Air Filters
Air filter replacement & inspection
Air filters play an important role in keeping the air inside of your vehicle healthy as well as helping your vehicle’s engine run better.
Cabin filters are responsible for removing pollutants, allergens, and other toxins from the air within your vehicle, while engine filters help increase engine efficiency. Without dedicated air filter inspection or replacement when necessary, your car’s engine and heating and cooling system could suffer greatly. During each courtesy inspection at Shade Tree Auto, we take the time to physically inspect your air filter and make recommendations on an as-needed basis.
-
While we inspect your air filter every 5,000 miles at an oil change, you should keep an eye out for these warning signs:
Heating and cooling stops working
No air comes out of your vents
Windows can’t defog during cold days
Check engine light turns on
-
Refraining from getting your air filters cleaned or replaced can lead to poor engine performance, decreased fuel economy, and unhealthy air.
Process
Our air filter inspection process
During our air filter inspection, we check both your engine and cabin air filters for signs of a needed replacement, and take time to clean out any contamination that might be present within the filters.
Replacement
What goes into an air filter replacement
When an air filter is too old or dirty, it could require replacement. Depending on your make and model, vehicles require different types of air filters. We install NAPA Gold engine and cabin air filters for a variety of vehicles to ensure the filters our customers have are the longest-lasting, best air filters on the market.
